The Trunk Slammer From Hell · About the author
Christopher Scaminaci
Christopher Scaminaci writes as Ceej, runs MSP Automator, and is the one quietly typing the Trunk Slammer's worst decisions. First and foremost he is a software engineer. He has spent sixteen years in and around the managed services world, but the throughline has always been building: products, platforms, SDKs, and the integrations that make separate systems behave like one.
Right now that means StackJack, at stackjack.io: a growing catalog of MCP connectors, eighteen and counting, that let an AI reach into the tools an MSP already runs and actually do the work, one tool and one permission tier at a time, instead of handing an assistant a god-mode API key and hoping for the best. HaloPSA and NinjaRMM were just the first two. The hard part was never the length of the list, it is the engineering underneath it: clean API design, careful scoping, and auth that does not keep you up at night.
That product instinct was earned at TechPulse, where he is VP of Engineering. He architected the firm's automation products, BillingBot and QuantumOps, and he runs TechPulse LATAM, the consultancy's nearshore engineering arm in Medellin, Colombia. That one started as a five person experiment, a bet that you could build a real nearshore team without cutting corners, and two years later it is twenty-five full-time people and a 6,000 square foot office shipping software and services for partners around the world. He hires the engineers, sets the technical direction, and spends a good part of the day working in Spanish.
Underneath all of it is a deep bench: .NET and API design, cloud architecture on Azure, and plenty of the PowerShell and onboarding automation the channel quietly runs on. He is an Azure Solution Architect and one of the first independent HaloPSA implementation experts, though these days the product engineering is where his head is.
MSP Automator is where he writes it down, no ads, no sponsors, no bullshit. The Trunk Slammer From Hell is the one piece of pure fiction in the bunch. The Trunk Slammer is everything Ceej is not, which is exactly why he is so much fun to write.
